ABOUT

IMG_8477.HEIC

Hi there. I'm Tina Powsey.

In July 2023, I achieved my level 4 qualification in counselling and I now have the privilege of Journeying alongside my clients on their individual healing paths. Some paths are short and some are extended, but I believe all are temporary. I will remain fully present and non-judgemental throughout your walk from hurt to hope, and hope to healing.

Welcome to Pace Counselling. Taken from my Italian ancestors, Pace means peace. Peace is the absence of anxiousness, depression, anger and many other suffocating emotions. I believe counselling can give you back the peace you either once knew, or deserve to know. Our sessions will also be led at your own pace - no pressure or expectations.

If you've come across my site, chances are you're currently hurting or in the process of healing. I became a counsellor because I personally understand how life can feel too overwhelming at times. With my own life devoid of peace for extended periods, I know how even the most trivial things can have massive implications on everyday living; sometimes more often than we can manage on our own. I'm here to walk beside you on that rocky road. I believe in the strength of conversation when someone is willing to sit, listen without judgement or interruption, and acknowledge whatever is causing unrest.

The Person-Centred approach to counselling allows you, the client, to lead and direct the conversation.

Pace Counselling was recommended at a time when my son had reached a very low point.  Having already tried CBT we were unsure of how Tina’s person centred, well-being and therapeutic growth counselling would work.

My son was 17 and initially went under duress to try, but now 18 yrs. old, and 6 months later he is still feeling the benefit of his sessions.   Tina has been able to connect with him and more importantly, he feels safe.  His well-being is fantastic to see and is having a positive effect overall in the family.

I would therefore recommend Pace Counselling for your young person."
